Hello everyone!

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in a small farm town of Bothwell, Ontario. After finding out I had five cavities from not having easy access to dental care closer to our town, I decided to pursue a career in dentistry!

I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery and my Bachelor of Medical Sciences at Western University in London, where I also received the American Dental Society Anaesthesia Award and the Ontario Dental Association Proficiency Award. I was an executive member of the Dental Student Society and served as a co-chair of the Oral Health Total Health Chapter at Western. More importantly, it was during these long years at Western that I met my wife, Jayne, and our fellow King Park dentist, Dr. Dickson Kong. 

For the first few years, I worked in rural Northern Ontario and volunteered in remote underserved communities in Guaimaca, Honduras. Since then, I have worked in clinics in the GTA and now I am incredibly excited to be working to serve you, here in Oshawa, a place with small town hospitality that I grew up loving. 

My main focus here at King Park is on listening to you and appreciating your needs before starting any treatment. This is to ensure that you are well informed and comfortable in the chair because uncertainty can lead to anxiety. So if you have a question, I will most definitely have an answer!
I firmly believe in lifelong learning and I enjoy taking continuing education courses to deliver the safest and the highest level of care for you and your family.

Outside of dentistry, my wife and I have a tiny toy apricot poodle named after the majestic Nordic God, Odin. We are also big foodies who painfully love spice - both figuratively and literally. We love travelling to explore different cuisines and delicacies so if you have a local spot, please let me know! I look forward to meeting you all in person :)
